GTI offers Nation's First Armed Forces Trauma Course with Amazing Response
In the fall of 2016, GTI hosted Mississippi Guardsmen from the 183 AES, 172nd Airlift Wing in Jackson, MS. A 10-day course (AFATT | Armed Forces Advanced Trauma Training) provided advanced trauma experiences including combat, wartime and trauma simulation training and field exercises. Members were exposed to stress inoculation, anatomy and cadaver labs, lectures, live-flight and field exercises.
The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) recently named GTI a national training center. Nationally certified courses are now embedded within DoD courses including Bleeding Control Course (B-CON), Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Prehospital Advanced Life Support (PHLS), and Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS). GTI also provides Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatriac Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) courses.
The AFATT course allows regional National Guard and Active Duty forces to experience state-of-the-art training at dramatically reduced costs to members, units and the Department of Defense. GTI's innovative courses were recently noted in the the Mississippi National Guard's quarterly magazine with a circulation of over 8,500 members.
A small documentary was produced and distributed Air Force-wide to tout the high-level training provided a Mississippi-based, veteran-owned company. GTI continues make innovative training strides in the Simulation World by staying on the cutting-edge and is being noticed nation-wide.
