Madison County, MS | The Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) recently announced an advanced certification for Trauma Nurses, TCRN™. In March 2016, BCEN announced the exam will be first available. The trauma community has long vocalized the need for specialty certification and training. As a result, the TCRN™ is now part of many certifications offered by BCEN.

BCEN is a not-for-profit corporation, which strives to continually evaluate and upgrade the certification exams for emergency nurses. There are currently more than 36,000 BCEN-certified nurses.The Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN®) and the Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN®) certifications are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC). BCEN also offers the Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN®) certification. BCEN, in equal partnership with the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB), offers the Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN®) certification.
